CBS and Turner Sports took the fan viewing experience to a whole new level for the NCAA Final Four Basketball Semi-Finals this year with Bleacher Report’s “Team Stream.” The TNT and TruTV game broadcasts featured university-themed team and player story lines, custom graphics, music and more. TNT spotlighted Duke University and University of Kentucky throughout its game programming, while TruTV tailored its content to Michigan State and University of Wisconsin. The crew at RCS helped breathe life into these broadcasts with custom graphics for each team, and also incorporated social media graphics into the coverage. The collaboration marked our fifth consecutive year contributing to NCAA tournament programming.
In addition to “Team Stream,” this year RCS also collaborated with the creative services and production teams at CBS and Turner Sports to deliver dynamic graphics for coverage of the entire 67-game tournament. From the initial insert design to the build out of a real-time graphics package, RCS supported NCAA programming on CBS, TNT, TBS and TruTV that aired on TV, online and via second screen, in addition to two studio shows offering pregame, halftime, postgame and LIVE game updates. We also developed proprietary front-end applications to control and interface real-time data with each studio’s SuperBrackets and remote eyebar systems.
Congratulations to the Blue Devils on their win, and all of the contenders this year! We look forward to another exciting season in 2016.
